Gary C. Brown, MD, FACC – Vice President

Dr. Brown received his Medical Degree from Wright State’s School of Medicine, and completed his Residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and his Fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Massachusetts. He has more than 20 years of experience as a Middletown cardiologist; serving patients at the Middletown office, Atrium Medical Center, West Chester Medical Center and the Butler County Medical & Imaging Center.

Dr. Brown is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and has a special interest in Echocardiography and Cardiac Angiography.

He maintains professional memberships with the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association and the Butler County Medical Society.

   

Sandeep Gupta, MD, FACC– President & CEO

Dr. Gupta obtained his Medical Degree from MD University in Rohtak India, and completed his Residency and Fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He has more than 15 years of experience as a Middletown cardiologist; serving patients at the Middletown office, Atrium Medical Center, West Chester Medical Center, and the Butler County Medical & Imaging Center.

Dr. Gupta is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and has a special interest in Pacemakers & Defibrillators, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, Vascular Sonography and Cardiac Angiography.

He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Ohio State Medical Association, and the Butler County Medical Society.

Dr. Gupta is a published author and has served as a sub-investigator for several research studies.

   

M. Atiq Khalid, MD, FACP, FACC, FSCAI– Cardiac & Peripheral Vascular  Interventionalist

Dr. Khalid received his Medical Degree from Punjab University, and completed his Residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and his Fellowships at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He worked at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati and the Dayton Heart Hospital in Dayton before joining MCA in August 2009. Dr. Khalid is seeing patients at the Middletown and West Chester offices, the Atrium Medical Center, Butler County Medical Center, West Chester Medical Center, Dayton Heart and Vascular Hospital and Wayne Hospital.

Dr. Khalid is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, and has a special interest in complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions.

He has published several research articles and maintains professional memberships with the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, the Society of Coronary Angiography and Interventions and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

   

Joseph A. Solomito, MD, FACC

Dr. Solomito received his Medical Degree from Autonomous University of Guadalajara and completed his Residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, New York and his Fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Lousiana. He has more than 25 years of experience and 22 years of have been here in Middletown Ohio. He cares for patients at our Middletown office, Atrium Medical Center and West Chester Medical Center.

Dr. Solomito is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and has a special interest in Echocardiography and Cardiac Angiography.

He maintains professional memberships with the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association and American Society of Echocardiography.

   

Alvaro D. Waissbluth, MD– Cardiac Interventionalist

Dr. Waissbluth completed his Medical Degree and Residency at Ohio State University and his Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked at Jewish Hospital before joining MCA in September 2007. Dr. Waissbluth is currently seeing patients at the Middletown and West Chester offices, Atrium Medical Center, the West Chester Medical Center and the Butler County Medical & Imaging Center.

Dr. Waissbluth is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology, and has a special interest in Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography and Cardiac Interventions.

   

Madhumita Saha, M.D. – Cardiologist

She completed her Medical Degree from the University of Calcutta, India, her Residency at the Allentown Hospital-Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, in Allentown, PA and her Fellowship at the University of Vermont School of Medicine in Burlington, VT.  She has more than 15 years of experience as a Cardiologist serving patients at the West Chester & Kenwood offices, Atrium Medical Center, Jewish Hospital and West Chester Medical Center.

She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular disease with special interest in:  Echocardiography and Nuclear Stress Testing.
   

Ali Usmani, MD– Cardiac & Peripheral Vascular Interventionalist

Dr. Usmani received his Medical Degree from Karachi University, and completed his Residency at The Cleveland Clinic and his Fellowship at the University of Louisville. He worked at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio before joining MCA in October 2013.  Dr. Usmani is seeing patients at the Middletown and West Chester offices, the Atrium Medical Center, and West Chester Medical Center.

Dr. Usmani is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, Board eligible in Interventional Cardiology, and has a special interest in complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions.

He has published several research articles and maintains a professional membership with the American College of Cardiology.

Nurse Practitioners

Jennifer Atkinson, RN, CNP

Jennifer received her nursing degree from Capital University. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati. Jennifer worked as a Case Manager at Middletown Regional Hospital before joining Drs. Brown and Gupta in 1999 as a Nurse Practitioner. She started the CHF clinic several years ago and enjoys educating her patients about their disease. Jennifer occasionally offers presentations about diet and other CHF topics for the local community.

She is Board Certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

She has a special interest in the management Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).

   

Heather Daniel, RN, CNP

Heather obtained her nursing degree from the University of Cincinnati. She received her Master of Science in Nursing at the Wright State University. Heather is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She worked in the Coronary Care Unit for eight years before joining Middletown Cardiovascular Associates as a Nurse Practitioner in January 2008.

Heather is Board Certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Heather focuses on our Cardiac Wellness Clinic, CHF and Pro-time Clinics.

   

Cortnee Kelly, MS, ACNP

She completed her nursing degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She received her Master’s of Science in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati. Cortnee is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She worked as an RN on the telemetry floor at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY for 3 ½ years before joining Middletown Cardiovascular as a Nurse Practitioner.

She is Board Certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

   

Virinder Sidhu, MS, ACNP

She completed her nursing degree from the University of Cincinnati. She received her Master’s of Science in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati. Virinder is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She worked as an RN in the Emergency Department at Atrium Medical Center for 5 years before joining Middletown Cardiovascular in September 2012 as a Nurse Practitioner.

She is Board Certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
